Currently positioned for accelerated growth, they possess a robust financial foundation, a dedicated team of over 250 experts, and an annual revenue exceeding £100 million. Fuelled by a passion for technology and a commitment to excellence, they are primed to expand their influence in the ever-evolving tech consultancy space.
The Role:
To build upon this strong foundation and to drive further success, the client is seeking to appoint a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and partnering with the board and SLT, the CFO will be responsible for the successful delivery of a programme of finance transformation alongside a diverse range of strategic initiatives.
The successful candidate will possess significant experience of managing, developing and motivating individuals and will have a passion for process improvement and systems automation to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction. Proven capability in establishing a best-in-class FP&A function and a data-led culture is a must, particularly in respect of data visualisation and business partnering with sales.
As a key contributor to the delivery of the 5-year plan, the CFO must communicate confidently, thoughtfully and with gravitas. Stakeholder management and the ability to forge and maintain a wide range of internal and external relationships is therefore essential. Although the near-term strategy will focus upon revenue growth and building a world-class business, the CFO must keep one eye on exit readiness. Experience of building robust compliance procedures, flawless statutory reporting and an excellent data room is therefore extremely important.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver effective change to processes and personnel within the finance function to ensure service level improvements and facilitate growth within the wider business.
• Deliver improvement in budgeting and financial forecasting accuracy across all service lines.
• Partner closely with the board and SLT to deliver increased data capabilities, improved commercial data visualization and systems integration.
• Partner with CEO, board and SLT to develop and deliver strategy.
• Build and grow high-performing teams for excellent service at scale.
• Ensure mid-term exit readiness (data room, policies and procedures, compliance and quality standards).
• Financial reporting & forecasting
What we need to see (essential):
• Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA status
• Proven experience in scaling finance teams to drive improved efficiencies and customer experience.
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Excellent communication skills, being able to speak with gravitas
• Advanced cap table management and administration of complex LTIP schemes.
• Experience in professional services
What we would like to see (non-essential):
• Familiarity with fast-growth environments.
• Experience of leading or helping lead M&A activity, particularly on sell-side.
• Experience in a £100M+ revenue environment.
Start Date: ASAP (happy to wait for 3-month notice)
Salary:£170k-230k + Bonus + Equity
