Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Radiology management team as the Support Services Lead. We are looking for a team player to lead our large admin team and work alongside the management team to help improve efficiency and patient experience within the Radiology department.
Responsibilities
* Manage the administration and clerical staff across the Radiology departments, including medical secretaries, main admin office, Ultrasound, CT, MRI and community sites.
* Standardise the administration processes across all radiology sites to ensure a high standard of patient care and customer experience related to appointment booking, attendance and receiving of reports.
* Work with the Radiology Services Manager and information team to ensure close management of service demands, service delivery and to identify changing trends and challenges.
* Drive change, monitor service provision and adapt to new technologies as part of the radiology management team.
* Be responsible for administration and secretarial teams across Radiology; current staffing includes MRI x 3, CT x 3, Medical Secretaries x 2, Ultrasound x 4, Plain Film x 2, Mammography/IR x 2, Reception x 2, Community admin team x 4 across 3 sites.
* Provide a high quality and comprehensive administrative service to Consultants and the Radiology Services Manager, ensuring Trust standards are adhered to in all documentation, data input and information governance compliance.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
* Excellent communication and organisational skills; previous leadership and people management experience is essential.
* Knowledge to ensure administrative duties align with national guidelines; ensure patient appointments are booked according to clinical and pathway priority and reports are provided as per local policy.
* Experience in stock control to maintain administrative resources within budget.
