Role Overview The Attendance Officer will oversee daily attendance procedures and work closely with pastoral leaders to improve student attendance. Key responsibilities include: Monitoring and recording daily attendance Identifying attendance patterns and concerns Contacting parents regarding absences Conducting attendance meetings Liaising with external agencies where required Producing attendance reports for senior leaders Managing late procedures Supporting safeguarding referrals linked to absence Contributing to whole-school attendance strategies Maintaining accurate SIMS/attendance records The role requires accuracy, persistence, and strong communication skills.
