Position: Development Engineer Contract Type: Permanent Salary Range: £28,000 - £34,000 annually Key Responsibilities: As a Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of both new and existing products. Your responsibilities will include: Designing and developing innovative products for the organisation. Generating and managing component parts, sub-assemblies, complete assemblies, and wiring diagrams using 2D and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks). Creating and managing detailed 2D/3D engineering drawings for component parts and general assemblies (GA). Acting as a point of contact for design-related queries and amendments. Working efficiently to meet strict deadlines while managing your time effectively. Collaborating within a small R&D group to drive projects forward. Preparing documentation for the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system, including BOM, packing lists, test sheets, wiring diagrams, labels, instruction manuals, and costings. Testing all development units and generating documentation for production use. Fault-finding and solving production problems as needed. Assisting the Sales team with tender specifications, datasheets, and technical queries for new projects. Liaising with subcontractors to determine the best means of manufacturing new components. Creating and revising user instruction manuals in collaboration with consultants when necessary. Training production technicians on new technologies as required. Ideal Skills and Experience: To thrive in this role, you'll ideally possess the following: 1. Proficiency in SolidWorks. 2. A solid understanding of electronics. 3.
