Help shape the future of Engineering at Aston Martin.
At Aston Martin, we’re known for crafting some of the most iconic performance cars in the world, but behind every great car is a world-class team constantly pushing the boundaries of how we design, develop, and deliver.
We’re expanding our Value Engineering team to include a sharp, strategic, and forward-thinking Engineering Transformation Lead, someone who’s not just a planner, but a doer. A changemaker with a passion for improving how Engineering functions at its core.
This role is all about leading projects that make a real impact, identifying what’s not working, imagining what could, and driving transformational change across processes, people, and performance.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be at the heart of modernising and transforming our Engineering function, from big-picture strategy to hands-on project delivery:
1. Lead transformation projects from idea through to execution and successful handover
2. Shape and manage the Engineering transformation roadmap in line with our strategic goals
3. Set the structure, governance, and cadence for how transformation projects are delivered
4. Partner with the Engineering leadership team to identify improvement opportunities
5. Establish and lead cross-functional workstreams (Engineering, Finance, HR, Strategy and more)
6. Provide leadership, structure and direction on organisational change
7. Communicate transformation updates across all levels of the business, including Execs
8. Support our CTO with the rollout of long-term Engineering strategies
9. Help shape the future Engineering organisation design, structure and capability
What we’re looking for
This role needs someone who sees the big picture and knows how to make it happen.
You’ll need to bring:
10. Experience leading large-scale transformation or strategic change projects
11. A strong foundation in Engineering (degree or equivalent)
12. Understanding of product development & creation processes
13. Excellent planning, communication and leadership skills
14. A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to navigate complex environments
15. The confidence to influence at senior levels and work cross-functionally
Bonus points if you also bring:
16. Knowledge of AML systems, tools, and ways of working
17. Experience managing software/parts release or financial forecasting in Engineering settings
A bit about the future
Right now, this role doesn’t have direct line reports, but as the function evolves, we expect this person to build and lead a small team of transformation professionals. You'll also regularly lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver your projects.
Why Aston Martin?
We’re an iconic brand with a bold vision for the future. This is your chance to play a key role in shaping how we get there. If you're excited by the idea of driving transformation in a high-performance, highly collaborative environment, this could be your next big move.
