Job Description

Location: The Beeches Care Home, Green Lane

Are you a caring and compassionate individual who wants to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life?

We are looking for a dedicated Care Assistant to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centred end-of-life care to our residents. This is a deeply rewarding role where your support and presence can bring comfort and dignity during life’s final stage.


Your Role Will Include:

* Supporting residents with personal care such as washing, dressing, and repositioning
* Providing emotional comfort and reassurance to residents and their families
* Assisting with meals and hydration according to individual needs
* Ensuring residents are comfortable and cared for in line with their wishes
* Working alongside senior carers, nurses, and healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care
* Maintaining a clean, calm, and respectful environment at all times


What We’re Looking For:

* Genuine compassion and sensitivity when supporting others
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to learn and follow care plans and guidance
* Reliability and a positive, respectful attitude


Desirable (but Not Essential):

* Previous experience in a care role or end-of-life/palliative care
* Care Certificate or NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
* Training in moving and handling, dignity in care, or similar
