The Role
As Engineering Manager, you will be implementing engineering across Satellite Communications to ensure delivery to the customer in line with their requirements. This role is part of an extensive modernisation programme.
Responsibilities
* Manage engineering scope and technical outcomes, collaborating with Project Managers to plan and execute lifecycle engineering activities in line with contractual, regulatory, and industry standards.
* Lead mixed‑disciplines engineering teams, ensuring provision of resources, guidance, and support for effective performance.
* Deliver systems engineering activities from requirements capture to delivery in accordance with Babcock’s Top‑Level Engineering Management Plan.
* Own all systems engineering deliverables for assigned work packages, providing full life‑cycle support and ensuring alignment with industry‑standard systems and product life cycles.
Essential Experience
* Proven experience in holistic life‑cycle management with balanced competencies across the Systems Engineering discipline.
* Working knowledge of MoD procurement processes, project delivery practices and technical standards compliance.
* Ability to lead a team of mixed‑disciplines engineers to deliver complex projects.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in Engineering; HNC/HND with equivalent relevant experience is valued.
