A leading Manufacturer in Greater Manchester is replacing its legacy SAP ECC system with a greenfield implementation of IFS Cloud. As part of this major ERP transformation, the organisation is expanding its in‑house ERP team and is looking to hire multiple IFS Functional Consultants to support the delivery and long‑term success of the new platform.
This is a hands‑on functional role working closely with IFS implementation consultants and internal business teams to design, configure and embed IFS Cloud across core operational areas including Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering and Planning.
You will play a key role across the full project lifecycle, from solution design and build through go‑live and into post‑implementation optimisation.
What you will be doing
* Acting as an IFS functional specialist across the full implementation lifecycle including design, configuration, testing, training, go‑live and post‑go‑live support
* Working with IFS consultants to perform fit‑gap analysis and produce functional design documentation
* Translating business requirements into effective IFS Cloud solutions that improve efficiency, visibility and control
* Configuring IFS Cloud Applications and supporting testing, documentation and user training
* Supporting data extraction, cleansing and migration from SAP ECC into IFS
* Supporting system integration, testing cycles, cutover and go‑live activities
* Producing functional documentation and delivering end‑user training using ClickLearn
* Working closely with project managers, technical teams and business users to ensure a smooth transition to IFS
* Providing ongoing support and driving continuous improvement after go‑live
What we are looking for
* 3+ years of experience in ERP functional roles, ideally with all or any of the following: Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Projects or Engineering
* Experience working on an ERP implementation, ideally IFS Cloud
* Strong understanding of business processes and how ERP systems support them
* Hands‑on experience with configuration, testing and user support
* Experience with data extraction, cleansing, transformation and migration
* Confident running workshops, gathering requirements and working with business stakeholders
* Ability to create and execute test scripts and support UAT
* Experience producing training materials
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non‑technical users
* A proactive, collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in business transformation
* Ability to work on‑site in Greater Manchester
