Job Description:

Your new company
Our client is a reputable insurance law firm who are currently recruiting a Junior Advocate Solicitor/Barrister to join their North West team. This role is open to personal injury solicitors looking to pursue a career in advocacy. There is the potential for the firm to fund your Civil Higher Rights of Audience following a successful probationary period.
Your new role
This Junior Advocate Solicitor/Barrister position will see you undertake advocacy, drafting and advisory work initially under the supervision of more senior team members. Files will include pleadings, small and fast track claims, interlocutory hearings, CCMCs, sanctions and recoveries. You will assist senior team members on more complex cases and will assist in advocacy/litigation training for fee earners. You will be required to attend county courts across the North West and will be given 1 weeks notice prior to your court requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be a qualified solicitor or called barrister with a keen interest in advocacy. Previous advocacy experience is beneficial. Solicitors with strong litigation experience in EL/PL, RTA, fraud and/or professional negligence are encouraged to apply as this is a retrain opportunity. Civil Higher Rights is beneficial. You must be able and willing to commute across the North West.
What you'll get in return
This is a great opportunity for Advocate Solicitors/Barristers where you can enjoy a full and interesting caseload. For those looking to pursue a career within advocacy, this is an excellent opportunity to retrain. You can expect plenty of training and, following a successful probationary period, there is the possibility for the firm to fund your Civil Higher Rights to help progress your career. This role offers plenty of hybrid flexibility as you will be able to work from home when not required in court.
