Our highly qualified staff in the centres provide excellent customer service to ensure the residents of Leicester have a welcoming and friendly environment to do exercise, attend fitness classes and go swimming. Working closely with the managers, you’ll be a valued member in delivering Active Leicester’s service values.

About Leisure Centre Supervisor
We have a full-time, permanent post, working on a shift basis across our full centre opening hours which includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays. Current vacancy is at Aylestone Leisure Centre and Evington Leisure Centre.
What you’ll be doing
As a dynamic Leisure Centre Supervisor, you’ll assist the General Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure that the leisure centre operates to its planned programme in the delivery of aquatics, health & fitness, and centre operation targets. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the leisure centre, ensuring the health and safety of staff and customers, and guaranteeing the highest standards of service. This includes the allocation of and supervision of staff to enable the smooth operation of the facility, as well as ensuring that areas across the facility are clean, well maintained and in good working order.
What you’ll need
With previous experience of working in a leisure centre or similar environment, you’ll have the knowledge and understanding of how‑to co‑ordinate leisure centre staff to deliver effective centre operations and service delivery. You’ll have experience of supervising staff performance/development and knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and other guidance in relation to leisure centre operations. Using excellent communications skills, you’ll work as part of a team and lead by example to motivate your team. You’ll have a can‑do attitude, be able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced and busy environment and self‑manage.
