Overview

You will be part of a team that develops, manages and improves the effective organisation of our taught programmes and related student procedures. You will work within clear policies and processes across the student journey in order to meet regulatory requirements and consistently deliver educational excellence.

You will play a key role in ensuring the implementation and ongoing review of programme level approach in the School and contributing to the strategic development of the portfolio. This will involve coordinating high quality and consistent programme and module information in various University systems.

We are looking to appoint a supportive, organised and motivated individual who is committed to driving improvements within our programmes. The successful candidate will have experience of maintaining information with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and will have previously supported student or programme related processes. They will also be able to build effective relationships with staff and students and work flexibly to support the activities of the team.

Main duties and responsibilities

* Support the effective and efficient delivery of quality standards and programme management, including coordinating programme and module information, timetabling support as requested by the Timetabling and Education Officer, module choice processes, exam boards and programme events.

* Work with the Assessment & Feedback Officer to support assessment procedures for example by sharing information with students, staff and external examiners.

* Work with the Digital Learning Advisors to update digital learning tools with relevant information about curriculum and assessment.
* Encourage and support the ongoing improvement of the curriculum and related priorities, e.g. providing support for strategic goals such as employability, sustainability and Equality Diversity & Inclusion.
* Support committees and working groups which may include taking minutes and producing draft agendas for education related committee meetings.

* Undertake, and make suggestions to improve processes, that support the academic delivery of the programme, including Academic tutor delivery, GTA provision, dissertations, project/supervisor allocations in line with University regulations and procedures.

* Liaise with Admissions, providing curriculum information to support high quality response to ask us enquiries.
* Work on own initiative, flexibly and largely unsupervised; recognising when to refer matters to senior colleagues.
* Work collaboratively as part of a wider education and student support team, supporting the rota for the School's main student reception point, and providing cover for other members of the team as required.
* Build and engage with local and University networks to ensure up to date knowledge of internal policy and procedures.
* Support colleagues in the wider Education and Student Experience Team to ensure that the School is able to deliver the full remit of its responsibilities in a timely and effective manner.
* Carry out other duties, commensurate with the grade and remit of the post.
