Overview
Apply for the Advanced Clinical Practitioner role at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will work as part of the clinician rota, ensuring safe assessment, management, referral and discharge of patients across the Urgent Treatment Centre.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver an 80% clinical component and 20% advanced practice activities (education, research, leadership/management).
* Exercise advanced clinical expertise, independent judgement and decision making in accordance with the Trust advanced competency framework.
* Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of the client group, dealing with complex facts and situations.
* Supervise practice, conduct clinical audit and promote evidence‑based practice.
* Lead the implementation of relevant research into practice and contribute to the evidence base through research and audit.
* Lead audit and research as part of the multidisciplinary team, designing and implementing policies and guidance to ensure effective service provision and development.
Qualifications
* Masters level qualification in advanced clinical practice.
* Independent prescriber and previous experience managing patients independently as an ACP in an Urgent Treatment Centre.
* Strong portfolio of professional development, including mentorship from a Consultant in Advanced Practice and, if not already credentialed, HEE ACP curriculum.
* Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage highly complex, sensitive or contentious information.
