Our client is a Content and Media Services company in the UK who provide mission critical live broadcast and content processing services to customers from around the world. They are expanding their UK operation and looking for a Head of Content and Media Engineering to oversee their technology division.We’re looking for people who are keen technologists and always seeking new and innovative ways to solve complex technology issues in a Broadcast and Media environment. This position is responsible for the UK technology team, day-to-day management, learning and development, coaching and leadership is an important asset. As important, is the understanding of live broadcast and content management and distribution, in particular the time-bound and mission-critical nature of the business. Understanding and developing processes, liaising with C-Suite, regular reporting and pro‑active problem solving are key attributes for the success of the Technology department.Candidate requirements:Strong experience and knowledge across the whole end‑to‑end broadcast workflow:Live broadcast (contribution, distribution)Content in the cloudBroadcast and IT software (SaaS)Experience working in Live Sports, Live News, Live productionUniversity degree in engineering or ITManagement and leadership in a Broadcast engineering roleStrong leadership and team management background, including overseeing engineering/technology teamsProven ability in coaching, mentoring, and developing talent within technical teamsExperience working within time-sensitive, high-pressure environments with strict SLAsDemonstrated capability in solving complex technical challenges with innovative approachesTrack record of owning and improving operational processes within technology functionsExperience engaging with C‑Suite stakeholders, including reporting and strategic alignmentStrong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiencesProactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem preventionWorking with and managing 3 rd party relationshipsAs the facility you will be accountable for is a 24/7 live broadcast environment, the expectation is this role will be on-site in London 5 days per week, with the potential for unsociable hours due to any technical escalations.This position is also only open to candidates with the right to work in the UK.Apply here - https://arrkmedia.com/job-details/?job_id=442
