We're looking for a caring, dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Cygnet Forestwood School. Joining us on a part time basis, you will work 22.5hrs per week across 3 days term time only. Cygnet Forestwood School: Forestwood School is the specialist provider of education for all young people admitted to Cygnet Bury Forestwood. Learning happens in a dedicated school unit which includes an ICT suite, library and quiet room. Teaching is provided by a team of subject specialists and experienced classroom support assistants. Responsibilities

* Assist the teacher with learning activities in the classroom
* Contribute, if requested, to the formulation of individual education plans
* Prepare & organise teaching resources
* Checking and& maintain classroom equipment & materials
* Assist with the physical management of equipment
* Support the management of students' behaviour within the school's agreed policies
* General supervision duties & helping the teacher in designated tasks


Qualifications & profile

* Experienced in working with children & young people
* An excellent people person with both adults & children
* Dedicated to the success of the students, the team & the school
* A good written & verbal communicator
* Flexible, energetic, adaptable & able to use initiative
* Enthusiastic about working with a range of pupils with differing needs & abilities
* Professional, conscientious & an effective team player
* The holder of at least five GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A to C) including English & Maths.
