An exciting opportunity to join our operation in Nasmyth Bulwell as a CNC Miller. This full‑time, permanent role supports the manufacture of next‑generation aeroplane engine components and is ideal for a skilled machine operator eager to work in a fast‑paced, aerospace precision engineering environment.

* Job Type: Full Time / Permanent
* Shifts: Earlies / Afters (rotating)
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Mon‑Thu 6am‑2pm or 2pm‑10pm, Fri 6am‑11.30am or 11.30am‑5pm)
* Salary: £17.48ph – £20.26ph (dependent on experience)
* Location: Nasmyth Bulwell, Wharf Road, Industrial Estate, Pinxton, Nottinghamshire, NG16 6LE
Core Responsibilities
* Operate 4/5‑axis CNC milling machines to produce high‑value aerospace components using materials such as Titanium, Inconel, and Hardened Steel.
* Perform basic equipment maintenance checks and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain product conformance and traceability.
* Conduct component quality checks with calibrated measuring equipment and record results.
* Achieve standard operating times, set up multiple machines where required, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with colleagues across departments to meet customer and company targets, driving the cell production plan.
Key Accountabilities
Safety: Work within the company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) framework, contribute to 5S audits, and maintain a safe, organised working area.
Quality: Follow manufacturing methods and SOPs, perform calibrated measurement checks, and support right‑first‑time quality.
Cost: Deliver standard operating times, optimise machine utilisation and identify process improvements.
Delivery: Achieve daily production plans and collaborate with teams to meet goals.
People: Work as part of a team, participate in the employee development programme, train and mentor apprentices, and transfer knowledge to colleagues.
Qualifications and Skills
* Mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent experience in 4/5‑axis CNC milling.
* Experience in precision engineering, ideally within aerospace, automotive, motorsport, oil & gas or high‑value subcontract machining.
* Familiarity with exotic materials: Titanium, Inconel, Hardened Steel.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact at all levels.
* Self‑motivated, able to multitask, and comfortable with flexibility.
* Good working knowledge of quality standards and HSE.
