Job overview

Would you like to be at the forefront of exciting new developments within Adult Learning Disability services? Do you have a passion to work within specialist learning disability services? Do you want to contribute your experience and skills to new ways of working across an integrated care system (ICS)?

There is an exciting opportunity within Lincolnshire’s Adult Learning Disability Service to lead the Learning Disability South hub. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can provide safe and effective day to day management and leadership of the team.

LPFT’s adult learning disability service provides specialist health support to people with learning disabilities who require assessment and/or treatment for their physical and mental health, including support with behaviours of concern. The adult learning disability service operates from three multi-disciplinary hubs across Lincolnshire, which delivers a range of specialist provision.

Main duties of the job

The post would suit a motivated individual who has the ability to develop and motivate others, have a progressive mind-set and be able to build positive working relationships within the adult learning disability service and with partner agencies, whilst demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.

You will need to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to high quality care as well as a commitment to continuous quality improvement. You will have a strong sense of initiative, excellent team working ability and be an excellent communicator. A willingness to undertake training relevant to the post is expected.

You will provide support, leadership, management, performance monitoring, and strategic direction for the team and will report to the Service Manager.

Working for our organisation

Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides mental health services and a number of learning disability, autism, and social care services in the county of Lincolnshire. Employing around 2,800 staff and serving a population of over 766,000, our people lie at the heart of everything we do.

You could be part of a Trust rated by staff as one of the best mental health and learning disability trusts in England, in an area heralded as a fantastic place to live and work. We firmly believe the key to high quality care is a contented workforce. This is reflected in our Care Quality Commission rating of ‘outstanding’ for well-led and ‘good’ overall. In the most recent National NHS Staff Survey, our staff rated us as the number one trust nationally for staff morale and one of the top scoring NHS Trusts in the Midlands for being compassionate and inclusive. We’re really proud of this!

We are also leading the way in transforming care, with a multi-million-pound transformation of patient environments and radical redesign of community services.

This is the time to join and help redesign our services of the future. We offer options for flexible working and provide a wide range of training and promotion opportunities in all professions. We support and celebrate diversity, have active staff networks groups and are always looking at what more we can do to support our staff.
