We are seeking a Technical Delivery Lead within the Central Services team, part of CIO Enterprise Services. You will lead a small, diverse, high-performance team managing technology programs, vendors, and IT support for internal business areas.
This role involves functional and technical responsibilities, including requirements analysis, solution design, project delivery, budget management, vendor and SaaS oversight, application lifecycle, risk, and obsolescence management, and end-user support.
The successful candidate will build strong partnerships with internal business areas, understanding their functions, objectives, and challenges. You will develop and deliver strategic and tactical technology plans to meet their goals and ensure efficient operation of the technology portfolio.

* Partner with internal business areas and product owners to support business objectives and strategies
* Lead Central Services provision, including vendor management, IT risk, application lifecycle, and incident support
* Align change initiatives and roadmaps with business and T&O strategies through system consolidation with Europe
* Manage project delivery, application maintenance, and evolution, applying sound risk and cost practices
* Provide excellent support to internal customers
* Promote cross-team collaboration and share best practices to enhance team effectiveness
What you will bring
* Experience in environments similar to Santander, combining project management, consulting, data analysis, and change management
* Stakeholder and external provider management experience, collaborating with Infrastructure, Cloud, Architecture, Security, Procurement, Vendors, and third parties
* A passion for technology with a broad understanding of integration, data, networks, infrastructure, and cloud services
* A flexible, proactive attitude with strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple projects
* Critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to manage complexity and solve problems, including IT incidents
* Excellent communication skills to convey complex issues and updates to peers and senior stakeholders
Preferred qualifications
* Experience managing geographically distributed teams
* Knowledge of agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban
* Experience introducing agile frameworks to teams
* Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
Additional information
This is a permanent, office-based role in Milton Keynes. Hybrid working is available, with attendance required as agreed with your line manager. Some work outside standard hours may be necessary.
