Description

Priory Hospital Llanarth Court is looking to recruit a Maintenance Team Leader to join the team. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours. The role holder will be expected to undertake on-call duties for the maintenance department

Priory Hospital Llanarth Court, located in the rural area of Usk, Monmouthshire, offers secure services for adult males and females. We provide a specialist assessment and treatment service for people with mental health conditions who present with a variety of behaviours that challenge.



What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
* Ensures the maintenance of a well decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the unit, in line with quality standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
* Manages, oversees and undertakes a variety of general maintenance jobs as required, with particular focus on ensuring that patient / pupil related jobs are completed as a priority. Prioritises the work of Maintenance Assistants and/or Gardeners as befits their skill level.
* Identifies damage, faults and other related issues, and priorities their repair or replacement, whilst ensuring that environmental conditions continue to meet quality standards and statutory regulations. Receives and acts upon information concerning faults or damage

What you'll bring to the role

Candidates should possess a relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in one of the key electrical, mechanical, or building trades, ideally with Joint Industries Board (JIB) approved status. They should also have experience gained within a facilities, operational, trade, or maintenance role, demonstrating practical knowledge and hands-on skills in maintaining and supporting building infrastructure.
