Senior Vehicle Technician / Workshop Foreman – Croydon
Our client, a reputable and family-run fleet company based in Croydon, is seeking an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician / Workshop Foreman to oversee and lead their busy workshop.
This is a vital role for a skilled automotive professional looking to step into a leadership position within a well-established business operating primarily within the commercial and light van sectors.

Competitive basic salary of £45,000 per annum
Up to £12,000 in performance-based annual bonuses

Oversee daily workshop operations ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency
Lead a team of mechanics to deliver high-quality vehicle repairs and maintenance
Conduct diagnostics using enterprise-grade equipment, including Snap-On and Autel scanners
Provide technical support to workshop staff, maintaining high standards of workmanship
Communicate effectively with management and stakeholders regarding workshop activities and challenges
Coordinate work across multiple sites, including mobile jobs and external yards
Supervise workshop safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations
Manage workshop logistics and support the team in achieving productivity targets as a Senior Vehicle Technician / Workshop Foreman
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop environmentRequirements of the Senior Vehicle Technician / Workshop Foreman:
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Master Technician, or Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Technician with strong diagnostic skills
Previous supervisory or workshop management experience
Technically solutions-minded with a proactive approach to problem solving
Excellent communication skills and ability to provide honest feedback to team members and stakeholders
Mature, industry-experienced individual with extensive knowledge of vehicle repair standards
Confident working independently and managing daily workshop operations
Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and workshop management systems
