Job Summary
Salary will be pro-rated for part-time and term-time hours. Please note this post is temporary.
An opportunity has arisen for a Clerical Assistant at Thomas Muir Primary School, working 30 hours per week.
The role involves a wide range of clerical duties, including but not limited to word processing, maintaining school records for pupils and staff, telephone and reception duties, distributing school mail, handling pupil enquiries, and attending to pupils' welfare needs.
Essential skills include excellent organisational and IT skills. Experience working within a school office is preferred. The successful candidate should be able to work well as part of a team and enjoy a variety of tasks within their remit.
PVG / Disclosure Scotland
This applies to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council requiring PVG/Disclosure checks.
For posts considered Regulated under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment is confirmed.
The cost of the check will be deducted from the first salary payment, with possible installment options. If employment ends before full payment, the remaining amount will be deducted from the final salary.
This requirement also applies to current employees applying for roles requiring a PVG/Disclosure check.
