Job Opportunity: Assistant Service Manager / Service Reception Manager
Join our Main Dealer Motor Garage in Maidstone, Kent, as an Assistant Service Manager / Service Reception Manager.
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Salary: Circa £27,000 basic / £33,000 OTE
Responsibilities:
1. Lead by example daily to motivate your team.
2. Resolve staff and customer concerns promptly and effectively.
3. Oversee all Service Department operations in the absence of the Service Manager.
4. Drive performance and challenge the front-of-house staff.
5. Manage, coach, and motivate staff to ensure high-quality service.
6. Monitor performance against targets.
7. Ensure proper completion of Vehicle Health Checks, upsell conversions, and follow-up on unsold or deferred work.
About You:
1. Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Senior Service Advisor, Workshop Controller, Service Reception Manager, or Assistant Service Manager, with a successful track record.
2. Proven leadership skills and brand ambassador qualities.
3. Stable career progression.
4. Ability to balance hands-on team support with departmental management in the Service Manager's absence.
