About the job:
Youll prepare and cook for around 24 covers per evening, focusing on precision, creativity, and consistency. The role is centred on delivering authentic Japanese dishes with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
What Youll Do:
Prepare and cook authentic Japanese dishes (sushi, sashimi, tempura, kaiseki-style plating).
Design and adapt menus using seasonal, local produce.
Manage kitchen operations smoothly during evening service.
Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and organisation.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver a seamless dining experience.
What Were Looking For:
Proven experience as a chef specialising in Japanese cuisine.
Strong knowledge of traditional Japanese techniques and dishes.
Passion for seasonal and sustainable produce.
Ability to work independently in a small team.
Organised, reliable, and detail oriented.
