This role requires an experienced Check Manager or Support Manager with exceptional leadership skills, capable of managing aircraft maintenance checks efficiently and effectively.
We are seeking skilled individuals to oversee and manage all aspects of aircraft maintenance, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
* Plan, organize and execute maintenance operations to ensure highest standards are met.
* Lead and manage employees within their agreed area of responsibility providing clear instructions and support.
* Issue certificates of release to service for specific aircraft types within the scope of limitations of their Staff Authorization Document.
* Conduct daily briefings, allocate tasks and monitor progress to ensure targets are met.
* Provide regular updates to senior management as required.
* Escalate any critical issues promptly and provide recommendations for resolution.
* Develop and implement solutions to ensure maintenance is completed on time while adhering to established constraints.
* Ensure a daily progress report is issued for the aircraft under maintenance to internal stakeholders.
* Responsible for ensuring technical accuracy and integrity of all work performed under supervision.
* Oversee conduct and punctuality of assigned employees within their area of responsibility.
* Maintain good housekeeping standards within the facility.
* Complete husbandry and tool audits properly.
* Conduct formal appraisals and competency assessments for employees and provide recommendations for further training and development.
* Promote safety culture ensuring all activities comply with policies and procedures; actively promote occurrence reporting and continuous improvement.
* Support quality audits and assist in developing effective closure plans for audit findings.
* Maintain shift roster to support assigned maintenance activities.
* Ensure proper control and use of personal and company tooling & equipment by maintenance personnel.
* In absence of senior manager, conduct Alternative Tooling Equivalence Assessments.
* Circulate company information amongst maintenance personnel as appropriate.
* Collaborate with Ground Handling team to ensure smooth aircraft movements.
Requirements
* Valid UK Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License (AML) Category B and hold C certification by aircraft type.
* Hold a B737 and/or A320 aircraft type rating.
* Minimum 5 years Base Maintenance experience as a B1 and/or B2 certifying engineer.
* Effective leadership, management, collaboration and communication skills.
* Practical experience and expertise in application of aviation safety standards and safe maintenance practices.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Part-145 and associated regulatory requirements.
* Knowledge of maintenance standards.
* Initial Human Factors (HF) training.
* Fuel Tank Safety (FTS) training.
* Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS) training.
* English Language proficiency.
