Corporate Finance Manager
Location: Exeter/Hybrid working
Salary: £45k plus bonus and benefits
Our client is a growing Accountancy Practice with over 300 team members, with offices across the South West.
They are seeking a Corporate Finance Manager to join their team. Working closely with highly experienced professionals, you will have the opportunity to assist, progress, and develop while working on a range of corporate finance transactions.
Main Duties
The main duties (but not limited to) are:
1. Help manage business sales, acquisitions, management buy-outs and buy-ins, mergers, and disposals.
2. Undertake company valuation work using multiples analysis and other recognized methods.
3. Manage financial due diligence, including report writing and reviewing team members’ drafts.
4. Liaise with clients, in-house specialists, and other professionals to ensure smooth project management of transactions.
5. Manage deal databases and draft key engagement documentation.
6. Play a leading role in business development, including attending networking events, new client pitches, and assisting with deal origination.
7. Manage the delivery of projects alongside directors and partners.
Attributes, Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
* ACA / ACCA or equivalent qualification.
* Relevant corporate finance experience within the SME sector.
* Strong commercial and financial awareness.
* Aptitude for and desire to be actively involved in business development.
* A positive ‘can-do’ attitude with an appetite for progression.
* Emotionally controlled, confident, and able to take ownership and accountability.
* Ability to express ideas with authority and conviction, both verbally and in writing.
* Adaptability, organization, and conscientiousness.
* Strong research skills and attention to detail, focused on delivering high-quality work and analysis.
* Professional evaluative approach and ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
