Procurement Business Partner
Location: London (Hybrid)
JSS Search have partnered with a govt-funded financial services organisation who are seeking an experienced Procurement Business Partner to join a high-performing Legal, Risk & Governance function within a complex, regulated organisation.
This role sits within the Commercial Services team and plays a key part in supporting and leading a portfolio of procurements, providing commercial consultancy to the business, maintaining the commercial framework, and supporting effective contract management across the organisation.
The role
You will work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver compliant, value-driven procurement and commercial outcomes, ensuring alignment with policy, legislation, and best practice.
Key responsibilities include:
* Building trusted relationships across the business to deliver joined-up, compliant commercial solutions
* Leading regulated, strategic, and high-value procurement activities, with proactive support for lower-value procurements
* Driving value for money and quality across procurement and commercial engagements
* Conducting supplier assurance, due diligence, market analysis, and supplier development activities
* Ensuring compliance with relevant procurement platforms and central government guidance
* Supporting and improving contract management practices, policies, and controls
* Maintaining consistency across systems, including eSourcing platforms and contract registers
* Producing and using management information to support decision-making across the business
Risk & compliance
This post has responsibility within the organisation’s risk management framework. You will be accountable for managing commercial controls, completing regular assessments, identifying risk events, and working collaboratively with risk and assurance functions to maintain a strong control environment.

You will be a confident, commercially minded professional with the ability to operate independently and influence at senior levels.
Key skills and experience:
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels, including executive stakeholders
* Experience managing procurement and contract workloads independently
* A proactive, improvement-focused mindset with the ability to drive change
* Proven experience running end-to-end procurement and tender processes
* Experience using eSourcing and contract management platforms (e.g. Delta)
* MCIPS qualified or working towards MCIPS
* Public sector and/or financial services or insurance experience (desirable)
* Experience using reporting tools such as Power BI to create procurement dashboards (desirable)
