Staff Nurse (Neonatal)

A Fantastic opportunity for a Band 5 staff nurse with neonatal interest to join the neonatal team at Doncaster. The post holder will provide the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised holistic care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team within the neonatal unit. There is opportunity for training, growth and development within a supportive team on the neonatal unit.
Main duties of the job
Caring for infants requiring admission to the neonatal unit.
Undertaking training packages to improve knowledge and clinical skills.
Providing and supporting family integrated care on the Neonatal unit.
Working alongside the multi disciplinary team to provide excellent evidence based care.

Person Specification
Qualifications & Training
* RN Child or RN Adult with current NMC Registration
* Neonatal Intensive Care Course (or willing to undertake within an agreed timeframe)
* An awareness/interest in the care of the neonate and their families
Knowledge and Experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with multi-disciplinary team/service users/relatives
* Able to work effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary team
* Ability to remain sensitive and patient when dealing with difficult situations.
Personal Attributes & Skills
* Ability to remain sensitive, calm and patient when dealing with difficult situations.
* Ability to plan and prioritise patient care and workload
