Are you a Maths teacher who can turn “I can’t do it” into “I get it”? We’re working with a thriving secondary school in Hartlepool that’s looking for a passionate Maths specialist to join their team from September.
This is a full-time position for the full academic year, with pay to scale (£170–£250 per day). The school is proud of its welcoming staffroom, strong behaviour policies, and a maths department that works closely together to share ideas and strategies.

Your Role:
* Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on experience)
* Planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons that bring numbers to life
* Supporting students of all abilities, including SEND and higher ability learners
* Preparing students for GCSE success in both Maths and Further Maths (if applicable)
* Creating a positive, structured learning environment with clear routines
* Working collaboratively with department colleagues on schemes of work and assessment
* Taking part in CPD, meetings, and school life beyond the classroom

What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with strong subject knowledge in Maths
* Recent UK-based experience teaching secondary Maths
* Excellent behaviour management and a consistent, calm approach
* Creativity and flexibility in lesson delivery, with the ability to make maths engaging and relevant
* A teacher who values teamwork and enjoys contributing to a collaborative department

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
