Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the school's SEND strategy in line with statutory requirements
Oversee identification, assessment and provision for pupils with SEND
Coordinate EHCP processes, annual reviews and multi‑agency involvement
Support and coach teachers and support staff to deliver high‑quality inclusive practice
Monitor progress, interventions, and outcomes for pupils with SEND
Build strong relationships with families and external professionals
Contribute to whole‑school improvement as part of the leadership team
What We're Looking For
QTS (essential)
National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete it)
Strong understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive pedagogy
Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
A proactive, reflective, and child‑centred approach
Ability to work collaboratively and influence whole‑school practice
