What you will do: Ensure the Local Authority's responses to SEND Tribunal appeals are consistent, well-evidenced, and legally sound. Conduct thorough reviews of case documentation and supporting evidence to prepare for tribunal proceedings. Attend SEND Tribunal hearings when required, representing the local authority professionally and effectively. Participate in mediation sessions to resolve disputes early and amicably, reducing reliance on formal hearings. Person Specification: Qualifications Professional and degree level qualification or equivalent experience. Experience Experience of working with children, young people and families, ideally with special educational needs and disabilities. Experience in a similar role within a Local Authority or educational/legal environment. Experience in applying specialised knowledge and managing highly complex and high-risk situations. Experience of working collaboratively within multi-agency environments, including partnership working with internal and external stakeholders.
