Job Description
This role will support and coordinate the Stakeholder Management team within the FCRM directorate. It involves managing relationships with Regional Flood and Coastal Committee (RFCC) Chairs and overseeing the FCERM digital publishing service.
* Managing a busy mailbox and logging work on a regular basis.
* Responding to correspondence and queries effectively.
* Advising and training teams on digital publishing, plain English and accessibility.
* Editing and publishing content ranging from simple updates to large complex technical guidance.
* Coordinating the writing and publication of the annual FCERM performance report.
* Organising and supporting business meetings for senior stakeholders.
* Building relationships across the business to achieve effective communication.
* Running effective communities of practice and SharePoint sites that provide colleagues with information and resources.
Occasional travel and face‑to‑face meetings are expected. The role may include out‑of‑hours work during incident response.
Required Skills and Experience
* Experience using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, PowerBi and Teams.
* Proven experience in senior stakeholder engagement and communications.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build effective networks and liaise across technical, policy and communication teams.
* Written communication skills with the ability to translate complex or technical information into concise, accessible content for non‑technical audiences.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience in writing plain English, producing accessible content and publishing on GOV.UK.
* Ability to act as secretariat for stakeholder meetings, including minute‑taking, agenda setting and tracking actions.
Working Conditions and Benefits
The position is national and may be based in a range of locations. It requires occasional travel and face‑to‑face meetings. Employees may be expected to participate in incident response and may need to work out of hours.
