Job Overview
What is the purpose of the job?
To provide support to the Manager ensuring that the highest level of service is provided to the customer, whilst leading the staff in providing a professional and yet caring and nurturing service incorporating teamwork and values into the nursery.
What do you have to achieve?
* Offer support to the Nursery ensuring a good service is provided to our customers.
* Support the Nursery in achieving targets set by the Manager and business.
* Assist the Nursery Manager and her team to achieve high standards of childcare.
Key responsibilities
* Act as Acting Manager in the absence of the Manager, logging and raising concerns with the management team.
* Ensure staff are punctual and dressed according to nursery expectations.
* Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring staff follow nursery procedures and policies.
* Keep accurate and confidential records of staff, children, and parents.
* Ensure Room Leaders lead their teams effectively, utilizing time management and leadership skills.
* Carry out designated roles professionally and correctly.
* Liaise with the management team regarding employee administration.
* Provide staff training under the direction of the manager.
* Support Room Leaders with daily administration duties, checking and correcting where needed.
* Utilize general computer skills.
* Welcome parents, children, and visitors.
* Communicate effectively in person, in writing, and on the telephone.
* Work closely with the Nursery Manager and Directors.
* Ensure staff perform housekeeping duties to keep the nursery tidy.
* Perform any other duties requested by the Manager/Deputy.

Requirements
A Level 3 qualification in childcare is required, along with experience working in a nursery. Leadership experience is desirable. The applicant should be hardworking, reliable, enthusiastic, passionate about working with children, and possess a thorough understanding of the EYFS and Ofsted standards.
The hours and pay will be discussed at the interview.
