European Product Group Manager – CNC Machine Tools

Salary: £80,000 – £100,000 + Car Allowance (circa £50K or Company Car) + Benefits
The Opportunity
An exceptional opportunity for an experienced European Product Group Manager to take a strategic leadership role within a world-class engineering and manufacturing organisation.
This role is perfect for someone who combines technical mastery of CNC machine tools with strong commercial acumen and a passion for driving product success across multiple European markets.
You’ll report directly to the European Group Engineering Director, leading a small team of Product Managers while working cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure the product portfolio remains competitive, profitable, and innovative.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Development
*
Define and deliver the European product strategy and roadmap for CNC machine tools.
*
Conduct detailed market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs.
*
Translate insights into actionable business cases and product initiatives.
*
Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept to market launch and end-of-life management.
*
Develop product positioning and messaging to support sales and marketing activities.
*
Deliver product training, technical content, and competitive insights for trade shows, sales teams, and customer presentations.
Leadership & Team Management
*
Lead and inspire a team of Product Managers across Europe.
*
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-focused product development.
*
Set clear KPIs, performance metrics, and progression paths.
*
Collaborate with internal teams to align strategy and execution across all European regions.
Person Specification
Essential:
*
Proven experience in CNC machine tools or related capital equipment markets.
*
Demonstrated leadership within product management or business development.
*
Strong understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and commercial dynamics.
*
Excellent communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
*
Highly analytical, comfortable using data and BI tools to inform decisions.
*
Willingness to travel across Europe as required.
Desirable:

Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
*
Multilingual capability or experience managing across international markets.
