Director of Planning - London
We are working with a successful and ambitious planning consultancy who are looking to appoint a Director of Planning to lead and grow their London office. This is a senior-level opportunity for a highly motivated planner to take on a leadership role, delivering high-quality projects while helping to shape the future direction of the business.
The RoleAs Director of Planning, you will:
* Lead on the delivery of major planning projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors.
* Provide strategic planning advice to clients, developers, and landowners.
* Take responsibility for managing and growing client relationships.
* Oversee a team of planners, supporting their professional development and fostering a collaborative culture.
* Play a key role in business development, identifying new opportunities and contributing to the company's growth strategy.
* Represent the business at public inquiries, hearings, and stakeholder meetings as required.
About YouThe successful candidate will have:
* RTPI-accredited qualifications and full Chartered Membership (MRTPI).
* Significant experience in town planning, ideally with a background in consultancy.
* A proven track record of delivering complex planning applications and securing consents.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of mentoring teams.
* Excellent client-facing and business development skills.
* The drive and ambition to contribute to the growth of a forward-thinking consultancy.
