Interim Finance Director | AI SaaS Scale-Up | 6-Month Contract
Harmonic is working with an AI/SaaS Scale-Up to recruit an experienced Interim Finance Director for an initial 6-month contract. The company has secured significant funding (circa £50m) over the past two years, leading to rapid growth in their finance team.
The Client
The client offers a SaaS product used by large financial institutions. They have integrated AI into their services, resulting in substantial customer growth in the last year. They are market leaders with employees across the UK and US, primarily in the UK finance team.
The Role
This position involves managing a finance team of four, focusing on automating finance systems and strengthening the FP&A function. The candidate should have a versatile skill set and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment. The contract may lead to a permanent role.
Responsibilities
* Lead financial modeling and collaborate with product and client engagement teams.
* Oversee accounting functions and implement process improvements.
* Support strategic decision-making with financial insights.
* Own the FP&A function, including revenue forecasting.
* Develop and present KPIs to executives.
* Enhance internal controls continuously.
* Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
* Experience leading finance teams.
* Strong commercial acumen and FP&A background.
* Understanding of financial controls and audits.
* Experience in a leadership role within a rapidly growing startup or scale-up.
* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder partnership abilities.
* Background in process and efficiency improvements.
Preferred Experience
* Experience in B2B SaaS scale-ups with high-value, low-volume models.
* Led a startup between Series A and Series C funding rounds.
Location: Hybrid, London HQ, with remote options available.
