As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Digital Trading Executive.
About the Role:
The Digital Trading Executive will deliver the online trading and product merchandising strategy across several key product categories. They will have complete responsibility for sales and conversion targets in these major selling areas, working closely with the relevant Buying teams to understand product development and commercial opportunities in each category. They will exploit maximum commercial value from each category and product, while maintaining excellent customer experience. To achieve this, they will have at their disposal a suite of merchandising and search technology, analytics, and business intelligence tools to maximise visibility, conversion rates, cross-selling opportunities and ultimately, sales growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Accountability for sales revenue generated by product categories and site taxonomy they are responsible for.
2. Accountability for E-Commerce KPIs, including online conversion rate and category bounce rates.
3. Reporting on these KPIs, including sales in an effective manner.
4. Using data to discover actionable insights that will improve category performance.
5. Responsible for the effective online merchandising of products on our customer-facing transactional website.
6. Ensuring the brand is maintained and protected within the scope of online trading & merchandising.
7. Developing a full understanding of the online category statistics, the product range & new product development.
8. Ensuring campaigns and events are stocked with a full product range. Working with supply chain & logistics to ensure campaigns are running effectively.
9. Competitor research, identifying missing opportunities where we can adapt.
10. Organise and optimise category structure, product sequencing, filters, and taxonomy for a seamless customer journey, considering different user experiences and customer platforms, including desktop, tablet, and mobile usage.
11. Look into seasonal trends, display products and merchandise accordingly per your product category.
12. Regularly review and report on competitor sites for pricing, product range, navigation, and promotional strategy.
13. Identify emerging trends and product gaps to strengthen the online offering.
14. Monitor seasonal changes and align merchandising plans with customer demand and market conditions.
Person Specification:
15. E-Commerce, Marketing or Sales background preferred but not essential.
16. Analytical thinker confident using Excel, Google Analytics (GA4), BI dashboards, and other tools.
17. Delivering targets and sales growth.
18. Confident with Microsoft Excel.
19. Excellent communication skills.
20. Highly organised with attention to detail.
21. Ability to meet deadlines.
22. You will be comfortable working both individually and with a team.
