Sports Coach – Alternative Provision (Secondary)
Location: Burnley
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Are you passionate about using sport to engage and inspire young people? We are looking for a dedicated Sports Coach to join a Secondary Alternative Provision in Burnley. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a non-mainstream setting and wants to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people.
About the Provision:
Alternative Provisions support students who are unable to attend mainstream education. This may be due to social, emotional or behavioural needs. These settings provide a tailored and supportive learning environment with smaller class sizes and a focus on building trust, consistency, and positive relationships.
About the Role:
* Deliver and support sports and physical education sessions
* Build strong relationships with students, often with complex needs
* Support behaviour management and personal development
* Work closely with teaching staff and support teams to engage pupils in learning

* Confident, resilient and calm under pressure
* Able to build rapport with young people quickly and positively
* Passionate about sport and physical activity as a tool for engagement
* Experienced in youth work, coaching, mentoring or education (desirable)
* Committed to inclusion, understanding, and making a difference
