Senior Software Developer (Frontend) – Isio

We invite you to join our dynamic team as a senior React developer.
Location
Birmingham (Hybrid: 2–3 days per week in the office)
Role and Responsibilities
* Lead development of complex web applications using React.js and TypeScript.
* Utilise Docker for containerisation.
* Write and maintain unit tests.
* Participate in code reviews.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and ship new features.
* Investigate and fix software defects.
* Advocate sound architecture: SOLID, DRY, KISS, Clean Architecture.
* Improve developer workflows: linting, formatting, CI jobs, test coverage.
* Optimize components for performance and accessibility (WCAG).
* Mentor junior developers.
* Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
* Maintain a proactive approach, strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, communication skills, teamwork, and independent workload management.
Key Skills & Experience
* Expertise in front‑end development with React (including Next.js).
* Strong TypeScript fundamentals and building type‑safe components.
* Version control experience using GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure Repos.
* High unit & integration test coverage with Jest, Cypress, etc.
* Experience documenting code with Confluence.
* Knowledge of Azure/AWS/GCP cloud services and app distribution.
* CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions).
* Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).
* Security practices and tools (OWASP).
* Corporate environment experience focusing on security implementation and Agile/Scrum.
* Familiarity with Node.js backend coding, NPM package creation.
* SQL database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server).
* Project management tools (Jira, etc.).
* Code quality analysis tools (SonarQube, Snyk).
* Monitoring and logging tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
* Willingness to learn additional languages (e.g., C#).
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Extensive professional software development experience, preferably in a corporate environment with security focus and ISO27001.
