You will provide technical finance leadership for the Group, working closely with stakeholders from FP&A, Tax, Treasury front office, Investor Relations, Communications and Legal teams. The role is responsible for ensuring technical accounting standards and Group accounting policies are complied with whilst providing consideration to the commercial realities of the business.
Team of 5 direct/indirect reports:
1. Group Treasury Controller
2. Group Accountant - responsible for supporting the Group Head of External Reporting on all aspects of the role including technical support and preparation of financial statements for annual report/interims, SOX controls
3. Assistant Group Accountant (reports to Group Accountant) - responsible for reporting on a number of finance/holding entities, preparation of statutory accounts, support on intangibles review process, SOX controls
4. Management Accountant - responsible for reporting central overheads, VAT returns, ONS returns, SOX controls
5. Assistant Accountant - responsible for reporting on a number of finance/holding entities, preparation of statutory accounts, deferred duty reconciliations, SOX controls
6. Accounts Assistant - responsible for all aspects of payroll accounting, SOX controls
Requirements:
7. ACA / ACCA qualified accountant with significant experience of working on a FTSE 100 / 250 audit, followed by experience of working in the Group FInance team of a FTSE 100/250 company
8. Experience of SEC reporting
9. Experience of working on SOX controls
10. Experience of leading or managing a back-office Treasury team (preferred)
