Overview
Position: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Newport (2 /3 days onsite per week)
Day Rate: £350-£400 p.d inside IR35
UKSV SC Clearance Required
We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support a major defence-sector client. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a complex, high-security environment and enjoys owning and enhancing critical ITSM platforms.
The Role
Youll take technical ownership of the BMC Remedy platform, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement. Your work will span administration, workflow development, integrations, upgrades, and environment management. Youll also support incident resolution, service requests, reporting, and compliance activities.
Essential Skills
* Windows administration (Level 1/2)
* VMware
* SQL Server (Level 1)
* PowerShell scripting
* Networking (Level 1)
* Strong understanding of ITIL principles
Desirable
* Hands-on experience with BMC Remedy
* Background working to tight SLAs
