Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) in a Specialist Setting

The Role:
As an SEN TA, you will be an essential part of the classroom team, providing one-to-one and small-group support to students with a range of complex needs, including:
* Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
* Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
* Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
* Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN)
* Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning activities.
* Support students academic, social, and emotional development.
* Help manage challenging behaviours and promote positive interactions.
* Assist with personal care and medical needs where required.
* Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
What We Are Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is highly desirable, but a genuine passion and a desire to learn are essential.
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are a plus.
