Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Manager to lead and develop our health and safety arrangements across the college. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the college provides a safe and compliant environment for staff, students, contractors and visitors. You will oversee the development of policies, risk management processes, training programmes and compliance monitoring across all college sites. Working closely with senior leaders, curriculum teams and estates staff, you will promote a strong culture of safety while ensuring the college meets all statutory health and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop our health and safety arrangements across the college.
* Oversee the development of policies, risk management processes, training programmes and compliance monitoring across all college sites.
* Work closely with senior leaders, curriculum teams and estates staff to promote a strong culture of safety and ensure all statutory health and safety requirements are met.
Qualifications
* A NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety
* Professional membership of a recognised body such as IOSH
* Significant experience managing health and safety in a complex organisation
* Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
* Excellent communication and influencing skills
* Experience in an education environment is desirable.
