Please note this is a Mechanical / Electrical / Manufacturing Engineering role, not IT / Tech Support.

The role
As a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting customers throughout both pre‑sale and post‑sale stages of our Interlocking products, with a strong focus on post‑sale technical support. You’ll help customers troubleshoot products, provide installation guidance and resolve technical challenges efficiently, ensuring an excellent customer experience.
What you’ll be doing
• Build strong technical knowledge of Fortress products, user requirements and relevant standards
• Support customers via phone and inbox, meeting agreed KPIs and response targets
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical and product‑related queries
• Work closely with colleagues to continuously improve support processes
• Partner with Sales to help customers correctly specify and integrate products into automation systems
• Support customer engagement through webinars, training sessions and trade shows
What we’re looking for
• 1–3 years’ experience in technical support, field service or an engineering‑based role
• Exposure to industrial safety systems, PLCs, HMIs or automation technologies (hands‑on experience is a plus)
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
• Clear and confident communication skills, written and verbal
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross‑functionally
• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience gained on the job)
