📍 Location: UK Remote (Must be UK based, with full right to work)
WRK digital are delighted to be shortlisting for Contract Platform Engineers with strong Azure and DevOps capabilities working across modern cloud infrastructure including Azure services (AKS, App Services, Azure Functions, SQL Database), CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates), container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), and configuration management tools.
The Role
You'll be working as part of a high-performing agile team within the NHS, building and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure with a focus on reliability, security, compliance, and automation. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Contract Platform Engineer with deep Azure expertise and experience delivering infrastructure solutions in regulated environments.
What You'll Be Doing
* Design, build, and maintain scalable Azure infrastructure and platform services
* Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing
* Ensure infrastructure meets standards for security, compliance, observability, and cost optimisation
* Work with infrastructure as code (Terraform/Bicep/ARM) to enable repeatable, version-controlled deployments
* Support application teams with container orchestration, monitoring, and platform tooling
* Enable rapid platform modernisation with minimal service disruption
* Engage with technical and business stakeholders to determine infrastructure requirements (consultancy experience highly valued)
The contract is an initial 3-month engagement with this UK-based team working remote first, but you must be UK based for occasional onsite visits to Leeds or London.
You must be comfortable working INSIDE IR35 for this engagement.
