Key Responsibilities
* AWS Infrastructure Design — Architect, maintain, and optimise cloud environments using services such as RDS, ECS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and VPC.
* Terraform Automation — Build, maintain, and improve Terraform modules; enforce IaC best practices; manage multi‑environment deployments.
* Container & Orchestration — Support and enhance Docker‑based workloads and ECS deployments.
* CI/CD Ownership — Contribute to GitLab CI pipelines and deployment workflows.
* Security & Secrets Management — Manage and improve secret storage and access patterns using HashiCorp Vault.
* Scripting & Automation — Develop automation scripts and tooling, ideally in Python.
* Cross‑Team Collaboration — Work closely with developers and product teams to support delivery and improve operational excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
* AWS Expertise with production‑level experience across core services (RDS, ECS, S3, Lambda, IAM, networking).
* Terraform Proficiency including module creation, state management, and complex multi‑environment setups.
* Docker and container lifecycle management.
* Strong understanding of GitLab CI/CD, pipelines, runners, and deployment patterns.
* Experience with HashiCorp Vault for secrets and policy management.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Nice‑to‑Have
* Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
* Scripting skills, ideally Python, for automation and tooling.
* Exposure to cost optimisation in AWS.
* Familiarity with infrastructure security and compliance frameworks.
