Role Overview
As a CAD Draftsperson, you will play a key role in producing accurate and high-quality technical drawings and detailing for a range of structural engineering projects. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and project teams to deliver clear, compliant, and buildable drawings.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare structural drawings and details using AutoCAD (and/or Revit, if applicable).

Work from engineering sketches, specifications, and mark-ups.

Ensure drawings are prepared in accordance with company and industry standards.

Co-ordinate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
*
Maintain drawing records and support document control processes.
*
Assist with revisions, redlines, and design updates throughout the project lifecycle.
*
Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting practices and templates.
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a CAD Draftsperson in a structural or civil engineering environment.
*
Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Revit or other BIM tools is a plus.
*
Strong understanding of structural detailing (steel, concrete, masonry, timber).
*
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
*
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*
Good communication skills and a collaborative approach.
*
Relevant qualification in CAD drafting or engineering (HNC/HND or similar).
Desirable
*
Experience with UK building regulations and standards.
*
Knowledge of project lifecycle and documentation processes.
*
Familiarity with digital collaboration tools (e.g. BIM 360, Bluebeam).
