Job Description:
The Donkey Sanctuary is an international animal welfare organization dedicated to caring for donkeys worldwide. Our vision is a world where every donkey has a good quality of life, and our mission is to improve their lives daily through understanding, collaboration, and support. We are seeking a flexible, motivated Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer to join our International Programmes and Partnerships Department. The role involves designing and implementing evidence-based projects, monitoring and evaluating impact, and conducting data analysis to ensure accountability and improve data management.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting project cycle activities with regional and international teams to integrate MEL requirements.
* Assisting in monitoring and evaluation of funded projects, capturing and sharing learnings.
* Promoting the use of the International Theory of Change and Standards.
* Implementing and reviewing the International Results Framework and MEL tools.
* Collecting, analyzing, and reporting project data to demonstrate impact.
* Preparing internal reports and ensuring learning is utilized.
* Training and strengthening MEL practices across teams and partners.
About you:
* Degree or equivalent experience.
* Skills in monitoring, evaluation, feedback, and learning methods, including M&E frameworks.
* Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
* Proven ability to develop MEL training and capacity-building activities.
* Understanding of evaluation methodologies and data techniques.
* IT skills, including MS Office.
* Strong communication skills adaptable to diverse audiences.
Role details:
* Full-time, permanent, based in Sidmouth, Devon.
* Work pattern combines onsite and remote work, approximately 2 days/month onsite.
* Salary: £30,513 per annum.
