SEND Learning Support Assistant

Protocol Education are seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant for a specialist school in Wickford. The school offers a calm, supportive environment with a holistic approach to learning, using sensory and therapeutic strategies to meet pupils’ needs.
Pupils have a range of complex needs including ASD, SEMH, behavioural needs and additional learning difficulties. All students have an EHCP, and you will receive clear guidance to support them effectively.
The role includes 1:1 and classroom support, helping pupils with communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning. While SEND experience is valued, the school also welcomes candidates with a creative, arts or sensory background, as creative strategies can enhance engagement, confidence and wellbeing.
This position is easily commutable from Basildon, Benfleet, Billericay and surrounding areas, making it accessible for candidates across South Essex.
