Are you an experienced Diesel Generator Commissioning Engineer looking for a role with fantastic earning potential and a great work-life balance?
This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for a driven engineer who enjoys problem-solving and working on high-specification projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning a variety of HV/LV generation systems and associated equipment. Responsibilities:
* Conduct inspections of HV/LV systems and associated equipment to verify alignment with project specifications
* Carry out functional testing and commissioning of systems to validate performance
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to coordinate commissioning schedules
* Diagnose and resolve issues encountered during the commissioning process
* Produce detailed documentation, including test results, commissioning reports, and improvement recommendations
* Deliver technical training and system handovers to operational teams
* Perform generator controls upgrades/retrofits.
Requirements:
* Strong engineering background with in-depth knowledge of diesel generator commissioning
* Minimum qualification: Diploma of Higher Education in a relevant engineering discipline
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Knowledge of ComAp & DSE control systems is essential
* Understanding of PLC/HMI control systems is an advantage
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Effective communicator with the ability to liaise professionally across multiple stakeholders
Benefits
* Salary of £60,000 - £70,000
* 40 hours per/week, with regular overtime available (paid at 1.5x and 2x pay)
