Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual for the position of Greenkeeper to join our team specialising in landscape maintenance and horticultural services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for outdoor work, with a focus on maintaining and enhancing various outdoor environments. Duties
* Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces.
* Operate a variety of power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers efficiently and safely.
* Utilise hand tools for planting, digging, and general garden upkeep.
* Assist with the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution.
* Operate heavy machinery including excavators for larger landscaping projects or site preparation.
* Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
* Support construction activities related to outdoor projects, including setting up structures or pathways.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety standards.
* Maintain the organisation and cleanliness of work sites, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Experience
* Previous experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
* Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, hand tools, and machinery such as excavators is advantageous.
* Familiarity with irrigation systems, construction techniques, or horticultural practices will be considered a plus.
* Practical understanding of general maintenance tasks within outdoor environments is desirable.
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
