Responsibilities
* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients and their relatives at level of competency, independently.
* Develop skills at interpreting complex clinical information, responding to change promptly and developing specialised plans of care for radiology patients.
* Following training, care and scrub for all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
* Recognise the nurse's role in health education and incorporate this within clinical practice.
* Demonstrate utilisation of effective communication skills when dealing with patients and their families and promote effective collaboration within the multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrate, promote a patient‑centred style of practice, support senior staff, supervise and support junior staff and students daily as required, and be actively involved in the orientation and induction of new staff. Maintain accurate, legible patient records and patient confidentiality according to Trust policy. Develop good communication channels with wards and departments to facilitate good patient care.
Qualifications and Requirements
* UK professional registration appropriate to the role.
* Willingness to receive COVID‑19 vaccination; vaccination is not a condition of employment but is strongly encouraged. Unvaccinated staff may access vaccine information from the Oxfordshire County Council website.
